Located in the historic square that once housed the fruit and vegetable market of the port city of Cartagena, Magoga is the dream project of María Gómez and Adrián de Marcos, two young chefs who left their homeland to train alongside the great masters of contemporary cuisine. Thanks to the perfect balance of its culinary proposal, and despite its short history, they have been distinguished with 1 MICHELIN Star and 2 Soles Repsol.

Maria’s cuisine is sensitive, slow, without stridency and in continuous evolution, in which tradition and vanguard converge and whose main source of inspiration is the landscape of Cartagena. In her dishes, full of flavor and aesthetic beauty, the products of the Mediterranean Sea, the fruits and vegetables that grow on the banks of the Segura River, the tastiest meats of the region and other ingredients of the land, always chosen at their optimum moment of consumption, take center stage.

This particular style has led María to be a finalist for Madrid Fusion’s Revelation Chef Award 2019 and has positioned her among the most promising chefs of the moment.

In Magoga they take care of all the details involved in the culinary experience: from the wine cellar and the attention in the dining room, to its impressive selection of cheeses, all in charge of Adrián, the Host of the house and Sommelier, who holds, among other distinctions, the Award for Best Sommelier of Murcia 2018 and the Award for Best Cheese Menu in Restaurant of QdeQuesos 2020.

The decoration of the space is a reflection of the project, sophisticated but austere, inspired by the Mediterranean Sea through the murals of schools of fish, the wallpaper of stones that dress the walls, in the sand-colored velvet curtains and handmade paper fish.

The restaurant has a main dining room with capacity for 30 diners, a reserved area for 10 (which can be adapted for meetings and private events) and an intimate lounge, ideal for couples or small groups with only two tables.
